rat did NOT get a call yesterday. He interviewed with the perfect company Monday week - all the machines he knows they have, he would be boss and make more money than before, close to home, an Asian group so the work ethic would be there - and they said they could call back in a week to let him know. We were on pins and needles all week, trying NOT to think about it, not trying to jinx it by talking about it, and now these people did not have the decency to tell him no yesterday.
I am very disappointed and depressed about it. rat is going to call them to confirm the rejection today because he says he needs to continue looking and not wait for this to open up if perchance they are dealing with a hiring freeze or not hiring until the guy actually retires or the like.
